Since 2015 Image PR Boutique has produced and executed successful independent artist showcases during the S.X.S.W music festival and conferences, and this coming year will be nothing short of continued excellence. We’ve had artists from all over the country both independent and major artists grace our stage. Some of the major artists have included but not limited to Ace Hood, DC Young Fly, Trae Tha Truth, Drumma Boy, Gillie Da Kidd, AR-Ab and many others. Our next event we are making a few changes and focusing on hip-hop history.

For our 2018 event, we have decided to add elements to embrace the history of hip-hop starting with embracing the influence Northern California has had on the hip-hop culture with a twist to our annual artist showcase by adding an honors ceremony.

The Bay Area alone has birthed and or raised some of the most prominent musical icons known to date such as; Tupac, E-40, Master P, Too Short and so many others. Many forget Richmond, CA was where Master P first formed No Limit Records, and Oakland is where Tupac Shakur got his first start in music with the infamous Digital Underground.

We have dedicated time for 20 independent artists and a select few headlining artists (majors) to grace our stage and perform a short set ranging from 3-15 minutes before we lead into our honors ceremony and tributes.

There has been a plethora of great talents who hailed from “NorCal” and we are going to highlight and honor two exceptional talents that have never received their recognition for their countless contributions to the ever-growing hip-hop industry. We are honoring Sacramento icon C-Bo and Bay Area’s super producer Rick Rock and presenting them with our I.M.A.G.E award.

Also, we will be celebrating the life and legacy of slain Bay Area legends Mac Dre and The Jacka by paying a special tribute and presenting his family with our “Fallen Star I.M.A.G.E award” for his continued contributions to the music industry and his community even after his untimely death.

This event will be historic for the entire state of California and will hold a special place in the hearts of those who hail from Northern California. Artists from that region rarely receive recognition for their contributions and milestones set.
